Format

What’s included in a typical class session?

Overview, guided practice, and feedback—built for repeatable progress.

Show answer

Most sessions follow a simple rhythm: a short demo (mechanics + design intent), hands-on building time, and a closing critique where you learn how to refine balance, rhythm, and durability.

  • Materials briefing (stem types, hydration, prep)
  • Technique demo (spiral hand-tied, foam-free mechanics, wiring as needed)
  • Build phase with instructor check-ins
  • Finishing, wrapping, transport tips, and photo setup

Schedule

Can I reschedule if I can’t attend?

Yes—within a reasonable window, depending on material allocation.

Show answer

If you give notice early enough, we can usually move you to the next available session of the same level. Because fresh stems are reserved ahead of time, last-minute changes may limit options.

  • Best practice: reschedule at least 72 hours before class
  • If you’re sick: message us—health comes first
  • If a session is full: we’ll offer the closest alternative dates

Pricing

What does the price cover?

Instruction, fresh botanicals, tools during class, and take-home care guidance.

Show answer

Pricing is primarily driven by seasonal stem costs and the level of mechanics involved. We aim for transparency: you’re paying for quality materials and structured coaching rather than just a “make-and-take.”

  • Fresh flowers/greens reserved for your design
  • Use of studio tools (snips, wire, tape, conditioning supplies)
  • Professional wrapping + transport advice
  • Aftercare notes to extend vase life

Materials

Do I need to bring my own tools?

No—tools are provided during class; bring your curiosity and comfy shoes.

Show answer

We set you up with the studio essentials: professional snips, mechanics supplies, and cleaning/conditioning tools. If you already own snips you love, you’re welcome to bring them—just label your gear.

  • We provide: snips, floral wire, tape, bind points, and conditioning buckets
  • You may bring: apron, gloves if you prefer, and a tote for transport

Sustainability

Do you teach foam-free mechanics?

Yes—foam-free is our default; foam is treated as an exception, not a norm.

Show answer

You’ll learn alternatives such as chicken wire pillows, pin frogs, taped grids, and branch frameworks. We also cover how mechanics choices affect hydration, transport, and reusability.

  • Reusability: mechanics you can clean and use again
  • Design integrity: structure without hidden waste
  • Real-world constraints: when foam-free isn’t feasible and what to do

Certificate

Do you offer a certificate of completion?

Yes—for multi-session tracks and skills labs with completion criteria.

Show answer

Certificates can be helpful for portfolio documentation and personal milestones. For curated tracks (multiple sessions), you’ll receive a named certificate once you complete the required modules.

  • Digital certificate (PDF) available on request
  • Criteria-based: attendance + submitted final photos
  • Not a government license—meant for learning proof

Pricing

Do you offer group bookings or private sessions?

Yes—private formats are customizable by skill level, palette, and timing.

Show answer

Private sessions work well for birthdays, brand events, and team experiences. We’ll propose a concept based on seasonality and your desired takeaway arrangement (bouquet, centerpiece, wearable flowers, etc.).

  • Recommended group size: 6–14 (varies by project complexity)
  • Lead time: 10–14 days for curated palettes and sourcing
  • Options: on-site studio or event venue setup
